Reflective listening as a way of responding to children

Reflective listening is an excellent way to respond to children.  Click here to get to a webpage that advertises a CD on reflective listening.  The sample audio provides a good example of why reflective listening is so powerful.  Obviously, as it’s a sample, it doesn’t actually tell you how to do it!

At Perth Children’s Counselling, reflective listening is something that I teach parents, using role play around actual situations that are currently happening for them at home.
