Scarlett is the Principal Play Therapist and Child Counsellor at Perth Children’s Counselling. With extensive experience in Play Therapy and Child Centred approaches to children’s counselling, Scarlett has focused exclusively on children 3-11 years and their families since 2012. In addition to this, Scarlett has had a prior 25-year in nursing and midwifery.
Scarlett’s warmth, innate sensitivity and compassionate presence brings a depth of understanding to her work with children and their families, which enables her to support the child and family towards the best possible healing outcome for them.
Scarlett offers children a place of deep acceptance, trust and safety so that they can explore their interior world, and make sense of fears, grief, loss and trauma and discover mastery over difficult thoughts, feelings and life experiences and move towards greater insight and develop new ways of communicating feelings and expression of self. Scarlett sees your child as a person with his/her own unique experience of the world, and works to find a therapeutic solution which best fits the child and their family.
Scarlett has received advanced clinical training in Child Centred Play Therapy from Jewel Janan. She continues to pursue regular professional development in relevant areas of child psychotherapy and counselling, as well as keeping up-to-date with advances in Play Therapy. In addition, Scarlett has trained in sand-tray therapy, Expressive Arts Therapies, mindfulness and meditation.

Pek Yen Lee
Play Therapist, Consultant
Registered Play Therapist Supervisor (APPTA); Clinical Counsellor (PACFA) MCouns; Psychologist, MAppPsych (Professional).
Pek focuses on young children and their families. She has worked for over 14 years as a therapist, working exclusively with young children and families for 11 of those years. Prior to that, she worked as a teacher of children with learning, social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.
Pek has been employed as a Child Counsellor with several non-government agencies, where she has worked with children who have experienced a variety of traumas, substance abuse in the family and domestic violence, and children in out-of-home care.
Pek has lived and worked in several different countries and cultures and she is experienced in working and communicating with children of other cultures and languages. She has an understanding of the complexities involved in migration and living in a culture other than one’s own. Pek has also worked closely with Aboriginal children.
Pek has received advanced clinical training in Child Centred Play Therapy from Jewel Janan, and in Filial Therapy from William Nordling (play therapy which includes parents are involved in delivering the therapy). She has had experience and interest other modalities e.g. psychodrama, Hakomi psychotherapy, sandtray therapy and art therapy.
Pek is registered with AHPRA, the Australasian Pacific Play Therapy Association (AAPTA), Psychotherapists and Counsellors Federation of Australia (PACFA) and the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc (AAPi).
